Inkjet Wildflower Prints:

All wildflower and nature images on the Northern Ontario Wildflower web site are available for purchase as photo-realistic inkjet prints or professionally produced photographic prints.

Note that the Internet does not come close in showing the color and detail of the original images.

Prints are made using Canon paper by a Canon PIXMA Pro9000 inkjet printer (not matted or framed). This Canon printer uses ChromaLife100 dye-based ink.  Preliminary independent test data by Wilhelm Imaging Research, Inc. indicates that prints made with the Lucia pigmented inks and select Canon photo and fine art papers printed with the Pro9500 will have WIR Display Permanence Ratings in excess of 100 years for color images and significantly beyond that for monochrome images.  Preliminary tests suggest that the ChromaLife colour inks have a comparable life of 20-year + stability.

Inkjet papers used include glossy and semi-gloss.  Glossy paper is best for prints with vivid colours.  Semi-gloss paper is also good for vivid colours, but without the highly reflective surface of glossy paper.

For each order please state the image size and paper type you prefer. Glossy Papers have the most vivid colours and contrast. Fine art papers are better suited to more pastel, lower contrast images. Luster and semi-gloss papers are good for strong colours but without the highly reflective surface of glossy papers.

How do I identify the image I want to order?  Just use the name of the image used on the web page. I will confirm by email to ensure we agree on the terms and conditions and that I am about to process the correct image.
